Two days before Ahmet had driven me to a small village a few hours away where we scouted among many looms, selected one and had it strung for kilim-weaving. That's also where we bought this gorgeous yarn. Ahmet flagged down a passing truck which happened to be driven by a childhood friend and the loom was loaded up and carried to Ortahisar.
