Cold weather came and the little ones were in school, but by now I had a class of three (2 are seen here). Hatice (left), who will one day be the manager of this program, was fiercely determined to learn English. She took my dictionary home and translated an entire children's book I'd brought in one night! Fatih (right) was both a student and teaching assistant. He understood a lot of English (though he needed practice speaking) and helped us through the eommunication barrier. But that's not all. Fatih is a computer whiz, and we started the first computer class (using my laptop) right then and there.
